Hi World ...

The idea of this blog is basically to get word of my work 'out there' ... so to speak.

I will, over time, compile a body of some of my favorite works here along with the stories behind them, the various sources of inspiration, and will share some of my crazy carving adventures along the way.
I am available for commisions small or large, private or public and I like to think that 'Anything Is Possible' ... just drop me a line at angiechainsawchick@yahoo.com.au or if in Australia you can call me on 0423 068 407 ...

I hope you enjoy this peek into my world ... and if you like it ... please feel free to 'spread the word' !!
...
Oh yeah ... and if you are so inclined, click on the 'Older Posts' tag at the bottom right at the end of this feed to see more groovy 'Angie' stuff !
Enjoy ...

... taking 'Art' to the streets …

Although most chainsaw carving events are held in public places ... and many carvers will carve the remains of a tree right on the side of the road ... sometimes we like to just go places to hang out and show off ... and if we're having a good day ... sell something.

Throwing some color around at the 'Docklands Art Market' ... Melbourne CBD

The 'Docklands Art Market' is a wonderful place to hang out and browze on a nice day.

'Circle Work' ... the exhibition ... 2000

In the year 200o Cheesy Chicks hit the streets in a big way around Melbourne and country Victoria, Australia. They were seen at festivals and galleries, at street happenings and even on parliament house steps. For 3 months 'Circle Work ' was everywhere, with a grand finale in the Brunswick Street Festival Parade and a final showing at the Customs Wharf Gallery, Williamstown.

A great time was had by all ...

The 'Street Gallery'

In 1999 I coordinated the first Yarraville Festival 'Street Gallery'.

12 artists in all were involved and the big cardboard street path proved to be a hit (especially with the kids).

... & again in 2002 (only this time in black & white) ...

  1. What a great body of work (pun intended). When you put it all in one place it's most impressive. People don't realize it's not just the talent, but also the energy and passion to fullfill those artistic aspirations. My hats off to you girl. Mike K
