Hi World ...

The idea of this blog is basically to get word of my work 'out there' ... so to speak.

I will, over time, compile a body of some of my favorite works here along with the stories behind them, the various sources of inspiration, and will share some of my crazy carving adventures along the way.
I am available for commisions small or large, private or public and I like to think that 'Anything Is Possible' ... just drop me a line at angiechainsawchick@yahoo.com.au or if in Australia you can call me on 0423 068 407 ...

I hope you enjoy this peek into my world ... and if you like it ... please feel free to 'spread the word' !!
...
Oh yeah ... and if you are so inclined, click on the 'Older Posts' tag at the bottom right at the end of this feed to see more groovy 'Angie' stuff !
Enjoy ...

A bunch of Backyard Projects …

Paynesville ... 2008

This grand old coastal grey box had a house built around it. Originally it was intended that the trunk would support the upper deck but sadly measurements fell short ... and so a carving was in order. This was a tricky carve being that the timber was VERY hard, and space to a minimum ... though on the bright side ... there was ample shade.

St Kilda … 2006

This was a big chunk of tree in a modern courtyard like backyard. The owners wanted something abstract and sleek but robust.
This is what evolved.
It was a fun carve, and due to it’s scale, trickier than it looks.

Keilor … 2005

These people knew exactly what they wanted … and that’s what they got.
I really liked that it was looking across the yard to the back of the house.
